Majorca as we know it from ever since, with its villages enlived by the traditional religious and secular celebrations, its markets... A bastion of traditional agriculture. The island's interior – the place where time seems not to go by. Majorca's central plain  still upholds the very essence of the island of Majorca. This is the most agricultural area, an area that is deeply embedded in rural culture. It is here where we find the island's most typical examples of folklore. The Plain is also a landscape distinguished by exceptional viewpoints, such as Puig de Randa, by old mills, monasteries, fincas and spectacular valleys. Some of the municipalities in this region are often omitted by the tourist guides. Hence, exploring the heart of Majorca constitutes the discovery of the island's most unknown and authentic side.

A first-class natural heritage, a scenery of incomparable beauty with mountains and ravines. A beautiful example of mountain life, where the valleys are covered with orange and olive trees. The region's area is characterised by its beautiful craggy mountains and fertile valleys. It is here where we find a landscape marked by desert valleys, high mountain summits, ravines, hidden coves and the island's most emblematic villages. Amidst the valley of orange trees we find Soller, with its historical trains and viewpoints. The well-known village of Valldemossa is located further south and, although it is nowadays being visited by numerous tourists, it has maintained its hundred-year-old historical and cultural heritage. In between the two we find Deiá, a small village distinguished by a rough geography that has remained unspoiled by the passing of time and whose spectacular views over the Mediterranean enchant its visitors over and over again.

Majorca's northern land end, the island's calmest area, an area for retreat and peace, always a source of inspiration for outstanding writers and painters. The northern Tramontana mountain range has two large bays – Pollença and Alcúdia - that offer the perfect frame for the practice of nautical sports, to enjoy the beaches, to explore the mountains by foot or experience the rich cultural offer of its villages. The peaceful beaches with family atmosphere and the coves with their crystal-clear waters are among the most beautiful of Majorca. It is a region full of character, that despite tourism growth, maintains its personality and traditional architecture. The diversity of the landscape, the beaches, the old streets and the historically valuable buildings make this area the ideal place to embrace new experiences and rediscover the Mediterranean.

A combination of rugged beauty close to the city and the fashionable locations. The southern Tramontana mountain range area comprises Estellencs and Banyalbufar, both famous for their steep banks and terraces, a good example of popular engineering work. They embody a scenic work of art that has witnessed the intensive agricultural exploitation of this mountain territory for centuries. The views are unforgettable and offer the island's best sunsets. This region is considered to be one of the historical centres among the southern Tramontana mountain range and one of Majorca's calmest and “forgotten” places that still embodies all the charm of the authentic Majorca.

It is the island's cosmopolitan nerve centre, it hosts its capital, Palma, the airport and the island's most important tourism areas, is open throughout the year and is a centre for culture, leisure and shopping... Palma, the capital, is located between the sea and the mountains. The city, with its Roman, Muslim and Christian history, combines both tradition and modernity. A wonderful city that offers a wide range of leisure possibilities – cinema, theatre, opera, concerts, beaches and large shopping avenues at any time of the year. Despite the fact that Palma has modernised in recent times, it has also managed to maintain its charm and own culture and tradition. Privileged by its versatility, its combination of urban and avant-garde style and its soothing calmness make it a city that fascinates every visitor. The main attraction of this area lies in the monuments hidden at the squares, the buildings, palaces, courtyards, narrow streets and gardens but also in its nearby beaches that are very popular among its visitors. Among the best well-known towns within the region we find Magaluf, Palma Nova, Portals Nous, Calviá and Arenal – Platja de Palma. These areas are distinguished by their spectacular beaches, soft sand and crystal-clear waters. The Reis de Mallorca hotels located in the Palma area reflect this essence. Discover them!
